Best To Worst Dressed at the 2022 Met Gala

“Fashion's Biggest Night Out.” The Met Gala 2022 is a fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. It invites “it” celebrities, fashion icons and designers. Each year, Anna Wintour, Vogue's Editor in chief, invites each person very carefully and picks a theme for the party. This year's theme was “Gilded Glamor,” which is a reference to America's Gilded Age. Women back then wore big poofy dresses, tight corsets and big headpieces. Men looked very put together, in suits, over coats and hats.

Winners And Losers From The NFL Draft's Three-Night Spectacular In Sin CIty

The National Football League (N.F.L.) Draft is one of the biggest nights of the offseason. The NFL draft offers not only an opportunity for teams to replenish their rosters but also an annual snapshot of what the NFL believes about how to build a team. We learned this year that wide receivers are more valuable than ever, teams think very little about the 2022 quarterback class and Bill Belichick still doesn’t care what anybody thinks.

A free agent in the NFL is a player who has been released by an organization and is no longer associated with the league, or a player whose contract with his present team has ended and then he is therefore free to join any other team under the terms of the contract. Many teams have jumped on the opportunities of great players who want out of their organization or team and some of the roster changes this year are fantastic and some leave fans wondering.

MLB Lockout

Major League Baseball, also known as the MLB, has been a league for so long that it has been named “America’s Pastime.” People may think that a league with such a long history would not have any issues. Wrong. This year, players are upset, owners won’t budge, and the commissioner fails to pick a side and won’t say his feelings about the situation. All of this has caused what is called a “lockout.”

Is the Justice System Protecting Young Women?

On January 3, 2022 an Illinois judge reversed his own decision to convict an adolescent accused of raping a 16-year-old girl, stating 148 days in custody in county jail was “plenty of punishment.” Judge Robert Adrian said that it would not be right to sentence the accused 18-year-old, Drew Clinton, to prison for sexually assaulting Cameron Vaughan during a graduation party in May 2021. The magistrate remarked: “By law, the court is supposed to sentence this young man to the Department of Corrections. This court will not do that.
