New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art rolled out the red carpet for the Met Gala on May 7, 2018. This event is commonly known as the most fashionable night of year. The Met Gala is an event that welcomes celebrities and young creators. The invite-only event is also a fundraiser for the museum.This year's hosts were Rihanna, Amal Clooney, and Donatella Versace. Celebrities including Selena Gomez, Madonna, Katy Perry, and Kim Kardashian dressed to appropriately represent the theme of the event: “Heavenly Bodies:” Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.

As the ninth anniversary of the death of  Michael Jackson, the “King of Pop” approaches, the Maroon and Gray looks back on his life's journey. It seemed like Jackson was born to sing, make music, dance and to shine. Despite the nine years since his passing, his music and spirit live on in the broken hearts of his fans today.

On Wednesday, May 23, 2018, the Nutley Public Schools hosted a district-wide Art Show. The event took place in the Nutley High School gymnasium and cafeteria at 7:00 p.m. that evening. The Art Show is a happy occasion for the students, staff, and parents of Nutley Schools.  This year, the Art Show was truly a success. It was arranged by Mr. Denis Williams, principal of Nutley High School, Mrs. Theresa Lappostato, NHS art teacher, and Dr. James Riley, Coordinator of Fine, Practical and Performing Arts. 

Prom has been on the minds of seniors since the beginning of September, next to the coveted prom weekend. Everyone can relate that there’s a frustrating struggle in the prep leading up to prom. Questions like: Will I get a date? Where can I find a dress that doesn't’ look like Tiffany’s even though I really want that dress? Where do I get my hair done for the low? And most importantly: What do I caption my Instagram post?

The 21-year old up-and-coming artist, Jay Critch, is beginning to turn his life around and making it big in the music industry. Jay Critch is always dancing, having fun, hanging with his closest friends and doing what he enjoys most which is rapping.

Not a lot of areas in the world have stores that you can find good quality, fashionable clothes. Forever 21 is a retail store that’s not too expensive and usually has sales every week. The pricing is reasonable and they sell not only women’s clothes, but also plus sizes and men as well. If you have a last minute event. Forever 21 has the latest fashion.

Prince Harry, 33, has finally found his princess. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, 36, will marry on May 19, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel, in London. The reception will follow at Windsor Castle.

Prince Harry met Markle in 2016, and they dated, in secret, for six months before deciding it was time to take their relationship public. The couple announced their engagement in November of 2017 to the media at Kensington Palace's Sunken Garden. 

The power of love can overcome any obstacle faced in the book, Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon (pictured above). The book was published on May 19, 2017. This book explains how two people will fight through anything to be together.

Elements of an entertaining musical include songs that are memorable, lights that are appealing to the eye, and acting that’s amazingly convincing.  Nutley High School's performance of Pippin took place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 9, 10 and 11. This three-night spectacle of a show was directed by NHS English teacher Michael Gurrieri and choir teacher, Nicole Monte.

Has anyone ever read The Tale of Benjamin Bunny?  The Tale of Benjamin Bunny is a children’s book written and illustrated by Beatrix Potter and first published in September of 1904.  This book is a sequel to The Tale of Peter Rabbit, written in 1902.  The Tale of Benjamin Bunny is about Peter’s return to Mr. McGregor’s garden with his cousin, Benjamin, to retrieve the clothes he lost there during his previous adventure.  Peter Rabbit is apprehensive about going back there, due to his past experience.
