There are a plethora of artists that are asking for their songs to be removed from the music streaming platform, Spotify, due to the misinformation about COVID -19 and the vaccines. Artists like Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and Nil Lofgren are leaving Spotify for good and celebrities like Prince Harry, Megan Markle are speaking out as well.

Adele, A 33-year-old British singer, recently released her new album “30” on November 19, 2021. According to CNN, the album has claimed the title to be the “fastest-selling album of 2021 in both the US and the UK.” The album became a big hit just three days after it came out, selling more than 660,000 equivalent album units, including all the audio and video streamings.

On November 5, 2021 in Houston, 10 people were killed at a Travis Scott concert, due to the massive crowd surge. Dozens were injured. This all started when Travis Scott said, “I want to see some rages. Who wants to rage?” Many at the concert say that the aggressiveness of the crowd could have been prevented or stopped earlier. 

Fans are angry because this could have been stopped or avoided as many feel that he encouraged the rowdy behavior.

TikTok, YouTube/Facebook, and Social media, in general, appear to be no longer trustworthy. They have proven to be harmful to younger users, according to CNN Business which states, “Executives from TikTok, Snap, and YouTube were grilled by Senators on Tuesday about the steps the platforms are taking to protect their young users.”  Facebook had the same accusations against it.
