Meet the Baker Behind Bevere Bakehouse
Bevere Bakehouse has been a gourmet cookie and cupcake producer based in Caldwell, NJ since May 5th of 2020. The Bakehouse functions through accounts on Facebook and Instagram with a following of over 1000 where bakers stand by for people to order batches of their ready-made cookies and other sweet treats. They feature flavors like Lemon blueberry cheesecake, Coffee Cake, and S’mores; but, what’s even sweeter is the baker behind it: Ariana Coniglione.
Coniglione is a bright and driven entrepreneur, fresh out of college and brimming with ambition. A graduate of St. Vincent's, a private all-girls high school in Newark, her academic path, like many others, faced an unexpected disruption during the Covid pandemic. However, this pause proved to be the beginning of a blossoming passion. Idle time was instead channeled into embracing the art of baking, embarking on a self-taught culinary journey. "I was basically on my own," she said. "I never really watched videos. I kind of just, like, experimented with recipes." Notably, one of her earliest creations, a Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake crafted entirely from scratch, has now become a staple among the many offerings of her growing bakery.
The bakery’s current name, “Bevere Bakehouse,” hadn't been the first. Originally Coligione’s work was under the more generic name, “Simply Cocoa Sweets.” She changed the name upon her recent engagement to Dante Bevere on August 8th of 2025. “... I switched it to Bevere Bakehouse because we're getting married and that's our family name.”
Coligione refined her culinary skills at her soon-to-be-husband’s house, where she worked with his mother, Chistina Frusteri. Frusteri fondly remembers earlier days in Coniglione's baking career: "I always enjoyed trying new recipes and making things that people loved and enjoyed for parties and family functions and whatever they had going on. Also, it was a huge perk being able to spend time with my daughter-in-law and do these things together as a family." For Frusteri, these shared moments in the kitchen were not only about the joy of creating delicious treats but also a valuable opportunity to connect with Coniglione and build stronger family ties. Having someone with experience in the kitchen, who also happened to be family, offered Coniglione more than just a pair of hands; it was encouraging for her. This was the first time Coliglione shared her home-made treats, and this became the early stages of Bevere Bakehouse.
Soon, Coliglione envisioned owning her own baking business, primarily because she enjoys baking so much. "I just love it so much that I don't really view it as work," she said. She carefully curated her recipes in her kitchen, and found a creative source in Pinterest, drawing ideas and insights from fellow bakers in the online community. Bevere Bakehouse isn't just about exceptional treats - it's a tribute to Coniglione’s initiative, creativity, and the sweet success that can bloom from unexpected circumstances.
Despite their purely online (as of now) presence, Bevere Bakehouse still manages to deliver. Quite literally! Joseph Giannetti is among those who have ordered some of the sweet treats. His experience was "pretty straightforward" and he found the visual presentation of the cookies on their platform “enticing.” “The flavor was good, though perhaps not as rich as you would find in oven-fresh cookies.” While acknowledging the slight difference from a just-baked treat, he liked the flavor and said the overall effort was "solid." This positive assessment from someone who clearly values a well-crafted baked good highlights the genuine quality that Bevere Bakehouse manages to deliver. Their online selection is a worthwhile choice for those seeking delicious gourmet cookies and cupcakes delivered conveniently.
Coniglione hopes to work towards a physical location in the community. “I hope to one day have my own cookie shop, but for now I'm just going to continue doing it from my house until I have enough time and money to open up a storefront.” She recognizes that this is a significant step that requires both time and financial investment so she's committed to gradual expansion. The dream of a dedicated cookie shop is a tangible one for Coniglione, a space where she can directly connect with her customers and share her culinary creations on a larger scale. While recent circumstances mean her storefront ambitions are a longer-term project, this period offers a valuable opportunity to refine her brand and build anticipation for the day when her own cookie shop doors finally open.
