Four years within Nutley High School is the equivalent to 1,386 school days in total. As I get ready to graduate and continue my education at Montclair State University as an English major, I reflect back on my years at NHS. Although times were tough and many tears were shed, NHS has helped me grow in unimaginable ways.

Phillip Siculietano is no stranger to Nutley or the Nutley Public School system. Siculietano graduated from Nutley High School in 1982 and began his teaching career in 1992. He is a certified special education teacher specifically in a self-contained LLD program.

Throughout the decades, Nutley High School has created numerous electives for students to be educated on topics that intrigue them.  These electives are an escape from their core classes and give students a chance to branch out and try something new. No matter the elective, students would always hold their breath to see if they got into the elective of their choice or got deferred to their second choice. 

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has always managed to draw people into their climatic movies, and “Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness” was no exception. Marvel fans have been waiting patiently for Marvel to announce the release of the Doctor Strange movie, and in July 2019 their wishes were granted. 

Throughout the years, the Oscars have had their fair share of drama, but this year's Oscars put the cherry on top of the cake. Hundreds of talented stars gathered together on Sunday, March 27th at the Dolby Theater located in Los Angeles California, to celebrate the Oscars. Comedian and actor Chris Rock was the presenter for the Documentary Feature Award.

The Spelling Bee is in session! This year Nutley High School has the ability to have an in person, musical. This was the first musical since Rock Of Ages in 2020, before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Doors are beginning to re-open for the NHS theater  department, as they are slowly making their way back to the stage.

Commotion began as eager Americans waited to see if Punxsutawney Phil and Staten Island Chuck would see their shadow, and winter would continue to be around for six  more weeks, or an early spring would arise. Groundhog Day takes place on February 2 each year and is an event that only some believe in. 

OnTuesday, February 1st, the Nutley High school Chamber singers took to the middle school in hopes to inquire more students to join choir when they enter high school. Nutley High School Chamber singer Fabian Hattem discussed the effort and details that went into performing at the middle school, and the preparation that is going into the performance at Montclair State University in mid March.

Spider-Man- No Way Home made it’s opening debut December 17, 2021, hitting all theaters across the country. Seats began filling up as  eager guests awaited for the movie to start. Movie theaters and news channels reported that this was the most packed the theaters have been since Covid first arose back in 2019. With a roaring 1.1 million guests to view it opening night. 

On December 10, 2021, Nutley High School Audience Member Tabitha Marese, Coordinator Of the Vocalist activities Stephone Gaines,  and performers Caroline Ritacco and Fabian Hattem  discussed what efforts and preparations went into the recent Yuletide concert at the Nutley High School and Saint Mary’s Church held on Tuesday the 7th  and Friday the 10th.
