On Monday, May 15th, 2023, NHS hosted Wellness Day to support Mental Health Awareness Month. The event was organized by NHS CORE Ambassadors, guidance counselor Victoria Lewis, and SAC Averi Zarbetski, along with the NHS school counseling department, and sponsored by Nutley Municipal Alliance.
High school is a time for students to develop into young adults while preparing for the next phase of their lives. High schoolers can have a lot on their plate at times, from attending classes, doing homework and projects, participating in extracurricular activities, preparing for standardized testing, and the list can go on. One of the most ineffective courses that high schools provide is a study hall period. These designated periods give students the opportunity to catch up on studying, work on homework, and complete projects and such.
It’s senior year and that word instantly gets thrown in your face. Some kids hate it, some love it: college. It's the thing that teachers and parents always brought up and reminded you about but as a student you never really did much about. College is basically the result of a student's hard work for the past 12 years of their education. So, it is much more than a school you go to for four years after high school.

The series shares the nightmare story of the Broaddus family. A couple, Derek and Maria Broaduss, bought what they thought was their dream home, in hopes for a safer environment.
Nutley High School has welcomed Craig Jandoli as its new vice principal. He fills the vacancy left by Jackie Devore, who accepted the position of coordinator of physical education. Jandoli began his first year this past September and has a lot to bring this year. “I’m looking to bring in a fresh energy of pride, I want NHS students to be proud to be Raiders,” he says.
The number of children in America that have been hospitalized with the rare mysterious syndrome has been growing over the past few weeks. Most of these children have tested positive for the coronavirus or its antibodies. This information led researchers and doctors to believe that it is tied to COVID-19. While doctors and researchers are trying to pull out more information about this disease, CDC calls it an multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children.
The thought of no school for most students sounds amazing, but this closure has proven to be anything but. The Coronavirus pandemic has closed over 124,000 United States public and private schools and has affected over 55 million students. Many states have been ordered to close all schools in their states. This left most schools with only three to four months until the year finished. School districts across the country had to quickly plan how to continue the school year in a way that would keep students home due to how rapidly the pandemic was growing.
Justin Bieber’s long awaited 10 episode documentary, Seasons, on Youtube was released Monday, January 27. The documentary shows a side of Justin that many have not seen before. During my viewing, three episodes seem monumental.
