Kim Kardashian West was on SNL?

Kim Kardashian West, an entrepreneur, influencer, and reality TV star, hosted Saturday Night Live (SNL) on October 9, 2021. When it was announced that Kim Kardashian West was going to host, there were mixed emotions simply because she is a Kardashian. 

Personally, when I heard she would be hosting SNL, I thought it might be boring because most guests on SNL have a reputation for their humor. But after watching and forming my own opinion, I think she was fantastic. She showed us a different side not generally showcased on social media or her show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians (KUWTK). 

Kim Kardashian West hosting SNL was essential to show that she is more than just a pretty face. She even made a joke on SNL, referring to how she is “so much more than that reference photo my sisters showed their plastic surgeons.”  

She took shots at all of her family members and even at some past relationships in her monologue. She targeted her ex-husband Kanye West. She explained how she married the best rapper of all time and that he gave her four beautiful children “so when I divorced him, you have to know it came down to just one thing: his personality.” 

According to inside sources, it was explained that Kim Kardashian West took this hosting gig very seriously. She did not want to disappoint herself and the fans watching because SNL has such a strong reputation. She got help from her mother, James Corden, Ellen DeGeneres, and surprisingly ex-husband Kanye West. 

Kim Kardashian West did many skits on SNL with other celebrities such as John Cena, Jesse Williams, Blake Griffin, Amy Schumer, etc. The skits she did were “The Dream Guy,” where she interviewed male celebrities to choose her dream guy. In the end, Amy Schumer came in, and Kim chose her. 

Another skit performed was “The People’s Kourt,” where she acted as her sister, Kourtney Kardashian. Kris Jenner and sister Khloe Kardashian were also guests on the show. Khloe’s skit was making fun of Kim’s Met Gala outfit. Kris Jenner’s skit involved Kendall and Kylie Jenner impersonators where Kris was suing Kylie because “she hasn’t had her baby yet.” She is “suing” Kendall because “she has absolutely no drama.” 

On “The People’s Kourt,” they used a Travis Barker look-alike to reenact how Kourtney and Travis act around others. They have a reputation for being very touchy and loving towards each other, so Kim made fun of it for the skit. Recently, Travis Barker proposed to Kourtney Kardashian. 

Kim Kardashian did other skits called “The Switch,” “Costo Meeting,” “Jasmine and Aladdin,” “Lotto Drawing, and “Skims Commercial.” These skits showed the sides of Kim Kardashian West that her audience wants to see. She revealed that she could do way more than be a social media influencer.

She has proven this statement by helping so many innocent people who have been convicted of the worst crimes possible get out of jail. She believes these people should not be doing time in prison for a crime they did not commit. She has had so many success stories for doing what she is doing. She wants to follow in her father's, Robert Kardashian, footsteps as a lawyer and has been studying nonstop for that to be a reality for her. 

Although Kim Kardashian West is one of the most famous people in the world, she is more than what people see online. She is helping the lives of so many to get a shot at having a normal life. Without the help of Kim, the number of innocent people on death row would be higher. She has proven time and time again that she is someone so much better than what people have seen and heard for years. She is going to help others and I believe that is inspiring to others.
