For 108 years, The Maroon and Gray has prospered to inform, educate, and alert the students and faculty of NHS about events that take place in school as well as the surrounding Nutley community.

From Music Theory classes, to the Marching Band, to zero period Orchestra, the various options that the Nutley Music Department offers to students at the high school is vast and unique. Whether a student wants to play an instrument, learn music theory, study popular music throughout the decades, or just perform with flags waving in their hands, the Music Department provides.

Rod Stewart, Bruce Springsteen, Matt “Guitar” Murphy: all infamous names, all famous, and very influential musicians. They’re just a small number of musicians that Music Teacher Baron Raymonde has worked with over his long musical career. That’s right, Raymonde is a classic legendary performer amongst them and many others.
