NHS Principal, Mr. Denis Williams, has a lot of pride in the senior class. “What ‘19 has done this year is really a culmination of dealing with a massive undertaking of change in the building,” says Mr. Williams They faced and responded to change, ”in terms of the scheduling and security and changing the culture." The class of 2019 helped paved the way for classes underneath them.

With the senior class having done stellar fundraising over their four years, the students have had the opportunity to have their project graduation at MetLife Stadium in Meadowlands. “As a class, it seems as though the fundraising gets kind of chopped into if you're in a sport, or extracurricular and the idea of raising it for a class is becoming less and less each year,” said Mr. Williams. “But this class has done a good job with the Fashion Show, under the guidance of Mrs.Ukar.”

A bulk of the fundraising was done freshmen year. Therefore, the class had money stored away for prom, and graduation. The students held bake sales, a Pie day for the teachers, and many other events which raised more than $2,000 this year.
