Welcome the New Royal Baby, Archie
Welcome Baby Sussex to the world. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their little bundle of joy on May 6, 2019. They appeared with their baby for the first time at St. George’s Hall in Windsor Castle two days after he was born. After appearing outside, they announced his name on Instagram; Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
Harry and Meghan’s love story began in July 2016. They secretly dated for four months before going public on October 31, 2016. Throughout 2017, they were seen in England with matching necklaces and going on trips together. On November 27, 2017, Harry and Meghan announced their engagement. Millions of people, from around the world, watched their wedding on May 19, 2018. The couple got married at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom. The wedding was broadcast internationally on television channels. The celebrities that went included Oprah Winfrey, Amal and George Clooney, David and Victoria Beckham, Elton John and David Furnish and many more.
On October 15, 2018, Harry and Meghan announced they were expecting a baby in the spring of 2019. It was widely reported immediately by the international press. The baby's gender was never revealed.
Then, on May 6, 2019, Meghan delivered a baby boy. He weighed 7 lbs. 3oz. Harry, Meghan and their baby stepped out at St.George’s hall two days after the baby was born to greet the citizens of England as news reporters captured the historical moment. They were both ecstatic as they were holding their new baby. On their Instagram which is @sussexroyal. They posted, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are pleased to announce they have named their first born child: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.”
Reporters asked Meghan what it is like being a new mom and she said, “It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing. I have the best two guys in the world, so I’m really happy.” She then added that Baby Sussex, “has the sweetest temperament. He’s really calm.” Harry then commented, “I don’t know where he gets that from!”
Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor name was a surprise. Archie was not a public frontrunner for the first name. Archie means "genuine," "bold" and "brave." Harrison means "son of Harry."
