Robert Pattinson Brings Out a New Version of Batman
With four Batman movies already in place, it’s hard to live up to the famous Bruce Wayne role, however viewers believe Robert Pattinson is going to do just that. The Batman is a three hour long movie, released on March 4, 2022. It’s going to be starting a new trilogy of Batman movies, with two sequels planned. Early viewers even went as far to say, “Dare I say that #thebatman is the best DC movie after having a fantastic Christopher Nolan trilogy.”
Robert Pattinson, famous for his roles in Twilight and Harry Potter, states how he wasn’t exactly seeking to be in a superhero movie until Batman came along. He and Zoë Kravitz play together in the movie, Robert as Batman and Zoë as Selina Kyle. Zoë, 33, and Robert, 35, have been friends for about 10 years which explains the chemistry seen on screen. She’s popular for playing in movies such as Divergent and High Fidelity.
The Batman is a murder mystery type of movie. It tells the story of when Batman ventures into Gotham City’s underworld, while a crazy killer is leaving behind cryptic clues. While Batman tries figuring out who the killer is, he must make new friendships, unmask the killer and bring justice to Metropolis.
Fans seem to either love or hate this movie. One viewer states, “This movie really explores Batman in a very different way. Pattinson does a phenomenal job as the caped crusader, so much so that when you look at Batman, you also see Bruce Wayne and his inner torment and darkness lurking within.”
Matt Reeves, director of the film, really tried to bring out the characters' personalities, to form an emotional roller coaster feeling while watching the film. Some negative reviews people have left include, too long, tried to make it way too dark and suspenseful, bad acting, etc. With all these mixed reviews, the only way to truly find out if it’s worth it or not is to watch it for yourself.
With that being said, the three hour long movie has received lots of mixed emotions, and reviews. Will Pattinson pull it off? Or will this movie be a waste of expensive tickets and three hours of your time? That’s for you to decide.
