Prom: A Night To Remember
As a freshman, the senior prom is something all students look forward to. Getting dressed up in glamorous gowns, beautiful heels, and lots of makeup is something that the girls cannot wait to do. The class of 2022 at Nutley High School finally got to enjoy their senior prom after many disappointments regarding COVID.
As a junior, NHS has a junior formal that happens every year, but due to the pandemic, we were not able to experience it. This year became normal and the class of 2022 had their senior prom.
The prom took a lot of time and dedication to plan. Our class advisors and class officers spent endless hours collaborating to make sure the prom went exactly as planned. Class advisors Ms. Jessica Lemire and Mr. Nicolas Ritacco put in a lot of time and effort to make the prom a night to remember for each and every student that attended.
This year we got our prom and we enjoyed every second of it. The prom was held at The Grove in Cedar Grove at 6:30. To begin, there was a cocktail hour where students and teachers were able to mingle and have some appetizers before entering the ballroom.
At 7:30, we went into the main ballroom and enjoyed a wonderful night of music and dancing. All the stress we had before prom making sure we looked our best or wondering what the night would be like went out the window. Prom was a night to remember for years to come.
