COVID-19 has been a global pandemic since early in 2019. It is over a year old and has killed over 2 million people, worldwide. It is one of the most infectious diseases in history, requiring several lockdowns and quarantines worldwide. However, hope finally may be coming to the world. Vaccines, developed by the companies Pfizer and Moderna, have been released and are being implemented all around the world. Is the nightmare finally over? Or is it not as effective as it may seem?

The Coronavirus pandemic has affected millions of lives globally, in all different kinds of ways. A recent worry in America is the economic decline in the stock market, along with the increasing number of small businesses that are failing.

As of April 22, 2020, the United States has more recorded COVID-19 cases than any other country in the world. With over 800,000 cases to date, the country has far surpassed Italy and China, the countries that previously had the highest recorded case numbers.  Each country is handling the virus differently as scientists try to find a vaccine.
