Steph Curry Has Historic Season
Steph Curry is a point guard in the NBA that plays for the Golden State Warriors. Steph Curry this year had a season to remember. He averaged 32.0 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game and 5.8 assist per game. He also won a scoring title this year and almost brought his team to the 2020-2021 playoffs. Steph Curry is known for being the best shooter in the world but he really is the best player in the world right now.
The Golden State Warriors did not have a super good team coming into the season because they had so many young players on their team. Steph Curry is the only super star on the Golden State Warriors so he is going to have to try his hardest and score the most points he can every game. Steph Curry last year got injured so he was out almost all of the season. He only played about 3 games last season so no one knew how he was going to do this year. But Steph Curry his first game back looked like he was back in his prime, he scored 20 points, 19 points, then 36 points. Steph Curry is known for shooting 3’s but he can also drive in and finish at the rim but he is almost unguardable at the 3 pointer. Steph Curry's nickname is “Chef Curry” because he cooks every defender that guards him.
Steph Curry and his Golden State Warriors started off the season with two straight losses. It was not looking too good until their next 3 games, Curry the next 3 games scored 36, 31, and 62 all against the Trail Blazers. Steph Curry 62 point game was his career high for points scored in a game he scored 8 3-pointers and hit a buzzer beater in the same night. This was a night to remember by Steph Curry, but there still is a lot more to come.
Everyone in the NBA was watching Steph Curry play and not even 8 games into the season, he was already getting doubled team when he crossed half court. This was harder for Steph Curry, but he was still scoring 27, 42 and 34 points while getting doubled teamed. Everyone in the NBA and outside already saw Steph Curry as the MVP this season already only 10 games into the season.It was gonna be a challenge for Steph Curry to try to carry his team to the 2020-2021 playoffs. But throughout the regular season Bradley Beal the shooting guard for the Washington Wizards was leading the NBA in most points per game. So Steph Curry in the middle of the season scored 45, 41, 38, and 35 in 4 straight games which now made Steph Curry the leader in the NBA in most points per game. It was still neck and neck with Bradley Beak and Steoh Curry to see who is going to win a scoring title this year. Bradley Beal ended the regular season with 31.3 points per game and Steph Curry ended the regular season with 32.0 points per game which means Steph Curry is going to win the scoring title this year and maybe MVP.
Steph Curry and his Golden State Warriors played in the Play-In Tournament which was added this year to the NBA. The Play-In Tournament includes 4 teams the 7-8 seed teams play each other and the 9-10 play each other the loser of the 7-8 seed game play the winner of the 9-10 seed game and two two make it to the playoffs. The Golden State Warriors play the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the Play-In Tournament. Lebron James of the Los Angeles Lakers is known for one of the greatest basketball players ever in the NBA, this is going to be a fun game to watch with Stephen Curry and Lebron James. The game was close all the way to the end. It was a tie game until the final seconds. The Lakers have the ball with 5 seconds left Lebron James has the ball shoots a fade away three for the game and it goes in the Warriors lose by 3. Stephen Curry had 37 points that game and they still couldn’t win.
Now, the Golden State Warriors have to play the Memphis Grizzlies to see who is going to the 2020-2021 playoffs. The Warriors were up big at halftime but in the 3rd quarter the Grizzlies went on a 21-2 run. All of a sudden it was a close game and it came down to the final seconds again. Now the Golden State Warriors have the ball with 5 seconds, Steph Curry gets doubled team and passes it to Draymond Green he takes a floater for the win and misses it. The game is in overtime and now the Grizzlies are double teaming Curry as soon as he gets the ball. The Warriors lost the game by 6 points but Curry ended the night with 39 points.
In Conclusion even though Steph Curry and his Warriors didn’t make the playoffs his season this year was a season to remember. Steph Curry broke 2 of his own records this year one of them was his 62 point game which is now his career high the second one was the most threes scored in one quarter which he holds that record now which is 6 threes in a quarter. Steph Curry also won a scoring title this year which makes him have 2 career scoring titles in his career. Steph Curry almost led his young team to the 2020-2021 playoffs but he fell just short. Steph Curry season will go down in the year books and will be remembered for a while.
