Recently, singer Bad Bunny took to the stage on a historic Superbowl halftime show, captivating millions of Americans with his vibrant and lively presence. In spite of his success, the performance was considered a controversial one. Many critics argued that he was not “American” enough to play the event, because he sang in Spanish and referenced hispanic culture.

The doors of Montclair Film offered refuge from the cold winter air on January 16 as students from Montclair and Nutley alike came together to share their passion for artistic expression. Students shared riveting personal works, while simultaneously raising funds and awareness for the severe cutbacks at Montclair High School.

It’s that time of year when seniors are settling into their last year of high school with the prospect of leaving soon looming over their heads. The myriad of considerations, aspirations, and challenges have a large impact on where their journey will take them, which may seem daunting to many. Thankfully, a firm support system is in place to help students who want to further their education navigate the college application process.

As of late, members of the National Honors Society (NHS) have begun offering tutoring sessions to struggling students. Advisor Joseph Cremona explains, “The National Honor Society is a service organization…The members have to fulfill characteristics of its pillars, and one of the ways in which they can do so is by tutoring people, depending on their needs.” 

Lockers have been a staple in American schools since the 1920s, and since then have been iconically known through media and pop culture. Theoretically, they offer students a safe space to keep their belongings throughout the day; and, not so long ago, it was the norm for students to make use of their lockers. In fact, they used to be so popular at NHS that freshmen would have to share their lockers with each other. So, what changed over the years? Why is no one using their locker?
