Shooting at Christmas Parade Proves Deadly

On November 21, a Christmas parade in Wisconsin turned deadly. Authorities in Wisconsin have identified the motive force of a red SUV who they say deliberately drove his SUV via barricades and into a crowd celebrating the Waukesha Christmas parade. Darrell E. Brooks Jr., 39, is believed to have acted alone. Brooks faces five counts of first-diploma intentional murder.

 

Brooks drove his SUV through the parade Sunday afternoon. Police responded and drove those injured  to the hospital. At least 18 children were hospitalized after the parade, stated Children's Wisconsin, a pediatric sanatorium in close by Milwaukee. Police Chief Thompson said the incident is not a terrorist event.

 

The city's live stream of the parade confirmed a marching band had just began playing, "Jingle Bells" when a pink SUV barreled into the parade from behind. Onlookers shrieked in horror. Another video captured by a parade-goer confirmed a younger lady in a purple coat, dancing in the road as the SUV sped by, missing her through only by a few feet. Another witness, Nathan Bryce, captured video of the SUV plowing through barricades. On Monday morning, the belongings of paradegoers were nonetheless strewn across the scene as authorities try to confirm what led as much as the calamity."This continues to be a completely fluid investigation," the leader instructed journalists Sunday night time.
