Lori Loughlin Returns to Acting

Lori Loughlin decided it was finally time to return to acting since the college admissions scandal back in March of 2019. The college scandal she was involved in was a huge incident for a while and almost cost Loughlin her career. She will be acting in When Hope Calls, the spinoff of When Calls the Heart, which will air on December 18th.

In March of 2019, Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were both arrested after paying to get their two daughters into USC as recruits for the crew team, when both daughters never actually played the sport before. Loughlin spent two months in federal prison last year due to this scandal. Many thought her acting career was ruined and over, but obviously, it was not ruined. This was all over the news for the few months after it happened. It has calmed down immensely since then. Now, two years later, it has become a talk among everyone once again because Loughlin is returning to acting; something many people thought would never happen.

Shortly after the college scandal, NBC states Loughlin and her husband are paying $500 thousand for two college tuitions of unnamed students.

According to NBC, “Hallmark Channel's parent company said that it had terminated development of all productions with Loughlin.” Her comeback show is a spinoff of a previous Hallmark show but according to the New York Post, “this movie is on GAC, which is run by Bill Abbott, the former CEO of Crown Media Family Networks, which oversees Hallmark Channel.”

When Hope Calls, will air in December. This show is a spinoff of When Calls the Heart; the show she was kicked off of back in 2019. The original show was airing on The Hallmark Channel. On the other hand, this spinoff show will be airing on Great American Country (GAC) Family. GAC is an “American cable television network,” first established in 1995.

Loughlin spent two and half years off-screen. When this chance to act again came, she felt it was the perfect time to return. There are many different opinions on whether or not it is right for Loughlin to get to act again. Lots of people think she doesn’t deserve to get big acting roles anymore. However, Loughlin feels it is good timing and is making her come back.

Loughlin paid for her mistakes and still is, but she is trying to get her life back to normalcy again.
