The Strangers Things Cast at the Season 3 premiere

Stranger Things Season 4 Finally Releases!

After three years of waiting, the fourth season of Stranger Things has finally been released! Many fans were beyond excited, myself included.

On May 27, 2022 the first seven episodes of season four came out on Netflix. When I first put it on I was glued to my seat and finished the season in about two days. The second volume in this season will release on July 1st.. This new season brought so much suspense, new characters, new scenery, plot twists and even some horror. Overall, I think this is one of their best seasons yet, and I can hardly wait for volume two to release.

This season, the Duffer Brothers brought back the same characters, Mike and Nancy Wheeler, Lucas and Erica Sinclair, Dustin Henderson, Max Mayfield, Eleven, Robin Buckley and Steve Harrington. They also introduced new character Eddie Munson, who plays a big role in this season. The team is investigating Hawkins for this creature named “Vecna” who has been causing strange disappearances and murders throughout the town. It contains the usual, monster fighting/hunting, the Upside Down and of course the Dungeons and Dragons game.

Stranger Things is so popular and loved that fans actually broke the Netflix record for most hours watched in a weekend premiere. The record, which used to be held by Shonda Rhimes’ Bridgerton, now belongs to Stranger Things. They racked up about 286.79 million hours of screen time just from its release on Friday to Sunday. According to Collider, an entertainment webiste, not only do they break this record, but they also break the period piece’s record for most viewed English-speaking series of all time. I believe this is very well deserved!

In my opinion, I feel as if this is one of their best seasons yet. Each episode is about an hour and a half long and still my eyes were glued to the screen. If you have never watched an episode of Stranger Things, I highly recommend it. I have been watching it since the first season came out back in 2016, when I was just a sixth grader. I am a junior in high school now and it’s crazy to think that I’ve been watching this show for that long of a time and still never got bored of it. Currently, I’m even rewatching the first three seasons trying to occupy myself until July 1st, when volume two releases. Unfortunately they are only making one more season after season four, although saddening it’s understandable. Lets just hope the next season doesn’t take three years to release too.
