The One Year Anniversary Of Kobe Bryant's Death

Kobe was an NBA all-star who retired several years ago. Kobe is a Hall of Famer and was on the Los Angeles Lakers. He was number 24 and 8. A lot of NBA players playing today looked up to Kobe as a child. Kobe passed away at the beginning of 2020 in a plane trash with his daughter and when the NBA season started, the teams waited 24 seconds to do a turnover to remember Kobe’s number.

Coming up is the one year anniversary of Kobe’s death. Kobe died on January 26, 2020. Many didn’t believe the news about his death and thought it was fake. Kobe was flying in a helicopter with his daughter and his daughter teammates when something went wrong. The plane came down and hit the side of the mountain.

After Kobe’s death, a lot of NBA players took this to heart because he was many people's role model and they looked up to him. One player is Lebron James. Lebron James was one of Kobe’s best friends and said, “ He was like a brother to me.” Lebron is also the best player in the NBA right now and made a promise to Kobe last year that the Lakers are going to win the finals.

After the Lakers won the finals, they celebrated and all the players wore Kobe shirts to remember him. Michael Jordan gave a speech about Kobe Bryant before the NBA season. Michael Jordan is the best player in the whole NBA and he played against Kobe many times. Michaels speech included, “When Kobe died, a piece of me died.”

With Kobe’s anniversary coming up, the NBA will likely do something for him. Kobe was a big part of the NBA and influenced all kids to do fadeaways and to follow their dreams. Kobe invented his own shot the fadeaway. Also when kids are little before they shoot they yell Kobe to make it. But Kobe will forever be remembered.
