Alec Baldwin says, "He Didn't Pull the Trigger"

In an exclusive interview with ABC News, George Stephanopoulos asked Alec Baldwin a series of questions regarding the shooting on the set of his movie “Rust,” in New Mexico, where a loaded prop gun was fired and did one person. Baldwin then proceeded to say that the shooting was an accident and does not think that it was sabotaged.

Alexander Rae Baldwin lll is an American actor, writer, film producer, comedian, and political activist. He is the oldest of four brothers, who are all actors. Baldwin first gained his recognition appearing on the sixth and seventh seasons of the CBS primetime soap opera Knots Landing, in the 1980s. Baldwin is also the producer for the western movie “Rust, '' but all productions for the movie have been stopped when the shooting on set happened.

In New Mexico, on the set of the western movie “Rust,” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was showing Alec Baldwin how and where to shoot, so she could get her  scene at the right angle. But what the set didn’t know was that there was a live round in the gun, Baldwin was holding an antique Colt. 45 Revolver during the rehearsal of the movie, when the prop gun discharged a live bullet killing Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Sauza. When she went to the ground Baldwin just thought that she had fainted since they were in New Mexico and it was hot, but when he saw the blood was when everyone started to panic. Investigators are now seeking to determine how a live round got into the gun Baldwin was practicing with and why the crew members who inspected it on set failed to notice.

Investigators and reporters are still skeptical about Alec Baldwin claiming that he never pulled the trigger. Several gun experts are continuously saying that this scenario just doesn't make sense, unless there was a major mechanical defect with the gun that would’ve been clearly visible prior to using it. Steve Wolf, who is a theatrical firearms safety expert, said in an interview with CNN that Baldwins  account is “not plausible.” He also said in a separate interview with the Wrap that the likelihood of Baldwin’s statement being true was “zero” on a scale of 1 to 10.  “You know, guns don’t go off by themselves, right? It’s an inanimate object. It has no batteries. It has no time,” Wolf said. “It has no web connection. It’s not a smart piece of  equipment. It’s a very reliable device that shoots when you press the trigger, it doesn’t shoot when you don’t press the trigger.” “Someone is responsible for what happened, and I can’t say who that is, but I know it's not me.” Baldwin said this almost to contradict what he did on set or to pin the blame on someone else, anyone except him.
