Travel Restrictions During COVID-19
As Covid-19 increased in cases over the months, travel restrictions have been put in place to reduce the spread of the virus and for the safety of the people. Certain states in the United States have just recently started to lift stay-at-home orders, but it is recommended that people traveling take certain precautions. These travel restrictions are not just in the United States. They have been set worldwide and will continue until cases begin to drastically drop or a cure is found. It is also good to keep in mind that traveling outside of the country is seen as risky and can endanger many people.
In New Jersey, Governor Phil Murphy formally announced that he will be signing an executive order to lift stay-at-home isolation. This will allow residents in New Jersey to begin going out again to retail stores and other recreational sites. However, it is still required to wear masks and keep a distance when going out of homes. New Jersey has one of the highest cases of Covid-19, but with cases recently coming to a decline, he decided that it’d be best if residents start slowly going out again. As time goes on, more and more shops will open and life will start to become “normal” again.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, states that any travelers from foreign countries can and will be denied entry into the United States. This means that any citizens from different countries simply cannot visit or enter America. Depending on the country, US citizens may go out and visit, but when returning, they must stay in isolation for a total of 14 days. When going on any type of trip, it is recommended to take certain precautions for the safety of yourself and others. This includes wearing masks and keeping a 6-foot distance from others.
Other countries also follow these restrictions and guidelines. As time passes on, cases will decline even more and a cure or vaccine will be found. Until then, everyone is to follow social distancing rules and protect themselves from this deadly virus. As much as it is important to go back to everyday living, you must put your safety and health first. Traveling can be unsanitary, but with rules such as separating passengers and cleaning the area, it will be safer. It is only recommended to travel if it is an emergency or an urgent situation. If not, just stay in your state and keep protecting yourself and others.
Covid-19 is a deadly virus and can spread very easily. Due to this, travel restrictions have been instituted for everyone’s safety. It is best for everyone to follow them.
