From Ryan Ibrahim to Will Llanza to Jordan Small to Erik Thompson to Anthony Pinal, Nutley boys basketball has been improving incrementally each year. For years, Nutley boys basketball has had at least one to two key players who step up and show their talent. This year it’s two juniors who have worked hard and given their best: Sean Fealey and Tim Gordon.

Every year Nutley basketball has a new batch of freshmen that come in to show their talent and the hard work they’ll bring to the team over the next four years. This year, freshman Josiah Gordon has changed the game. Gordon is a starter for JV and sits the bench for varsity.  Most of the time if a freshman ever moves up it’s to the JV bench, rarely varsity. This year Gordon changed that history.

After graduating key contributors from last year’s squad, the Nutley High School girls basketball team has entered a new era defined by youth, development, and long-term growth. While the win-loss column may not reflect the program's potential, the foundation being built this winter could shape the Raiders’ future for seasons to come.
