The Oscars had their 92nd Annual Academy Award broadcast on Sunday, February 9, 2020.
An evening with celebrities, fashion and awards is an important night in Hollywood. The best picture winner was Parasite, a film from South Korea. It also won Best International Feature Film, Best Directing for Bong Joon Ho, and Best Original Screenplay.
The best actor in a leading role went to Joaquin Phoenix for Joker. The best supporting actor in a film was Brad Pitt for Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood. The best supporting actress was Laura Dern for Netflix's Marriage Story. The best leading actress was Renee Zellweger for Judy.
The Oscars 2020 were held at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, and were televised live on the ABC Television Network at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. “Oscars: Live on the Red Carpet” aired at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT. The Oscars were televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
